So, whenever I read news regarding soldier's martyrdom I wonder do these country people worthy of whatever the sacrifice soldiers are doing?
The very next steps people take when they read news of soldiers martyrdom are
- They post condolences on social media.
- Change the WhatsApp/Facebook DP for 2 or 3 days.
- The people who are on the support of the current govt will show sympathy to them.
- The people who are against the govt will blame the govt for the incident.
- And yay, how can we forget that candle show. !
That's it. on the very next morning they don't even remember the incident unless any media house constantly covering the news.
IMO, The citizens of this country should behave in such a way that their behavior should add value to the society, country.
But, in reality, different categories of people are showing different attitudes towards society just to make sure that there is no peace and JUSTIFICATION for soldier's sacrifices.
Politicians(Not All, But Most of them)
- We all know very well how they made politics a business.
- Basically, politicians are the biggest hypocrites among all the breeds(It'll be another article). They only care for people, when the elections are nearby. Thinking about soldiers ?? forget it.
- There are some cases where the local politicians stood between the martyred soldier's family and govt compensation. you know why!
- They will compensate for the loss of the soldier but they'll never fill the empty space created by the loss of a person in the family. I'm sure no one will do that but at least the family deserves good compensation and it should reach to them.
- If the politicians/govt concentrate on soldier's safety then it would have been fewer deaths and more happy families.
Common People
- We fight in the name of caste/religion. Even some people go for honor killings just because of caste discrimination.
- We ask people to follow our religion saying that its peaceful.
We don't have enough patience to form a queue while traveling in public transport.
We are not kind enough to vacate our transportation seat to a needy person.
But, we think we are qualified enough to support a war sitting at home. WTF !!
Before you consider a soldier's life is meant for sacrifice, note that a soldier also has a family to look after.
Jai Hind .. !!
Good points and explanation

DeleteVery Nice article! Just sharing my thought: IMO, the only people who genuinely care about a Soldier's martyrdom are their fellow soldier friends and higher rank officers which is enough to shook higher authorities like CM or PM to take necessary action. Yes, there family too cares about them but after the loss can't take any action other than hyping the social activity which gets dim as time goes by (as you stated already).
ReplyDeleteYes. you are right. Will try to add that point
